Its pretty easy to turn any nut from raw into roasted or salted or caramelized–and its also cheaper to buy raw nuts in your supermarket vs. the ready made ones! Below you will find directions on how to toast and salt raw pepitas. I usually use them in my salads because they are healthy and add a great nutty flavor.
2 cups pepitas
1 tablespoon coarse salt (more or less, according to your taste)
1/4 cup water
Place foil on baking sheet. Place pepitas on foil and cover with salt and water. Mix together and bake for about 10 minutes on 350 degrees or until toasted with brown tint.
